Ann Arbor is a really great place to live. It has the feel of a small town with the advantages of living in a big city. There's always plenty to do because Ann Arbor is the home of the University of Michigan.

There is no way to do the place justice in so short a space, so I'll only attempt to hit some diverse highlights:

RESTAURANTS. It is amazing. We have tons of great restaurants downtown and all over the city. Ethiopian, Thai, contemporary american, vegitarian. And you want to talk about oriental? This is a Chinese-food lover's heaven. Last time I counted there were more than 30 Chinese restaurants here in Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor is also home to other great restaurants and coffeehouses. My favorites include the nationally known Zingerman's Deli, the Fleetwood Diner, Knight's, and Espresso Royale.

BOOKS. Ann Arbor competes with Boston for the largest bookstore inventory per capita in the country. We are home to the Border's Book Store chain and Ann Arbor is the site of the original Border's. My favorites include Border's, AfterWords (a great place to buy remainders), Shaman Drum,, and two Nicola's Books. These last two have great newsstands. Also worth mentioning are the book sales several weekends each year sponsored by the "Friends of the AA Public Library". Our public library was recently named National Library of the Year!

PARKS. Ann Arbor has over 4,000 acres of parkland, including the 765 acres of school property, 168 acres of county parkland, and 1,400 acres of university park land. My favorites include Gallup Park, the Arboretum, and Island Park. In addition, there are many state parks within cycling distance of Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor is also called "Tree city USA" because we love our trees, and we have lots of them!

SPORTS. It is almost embarassing to say it but we are proud to have the largest collegate stadium in the country here. All 107,000 seats sell out for most of the U of Michigan football games in the fall. And, whether you are looking for tai chi or indoor socker facilities, you are bound to find it in Ann Arbor.

PEOPLE. Perhaps Ann Arbor's greatest asset is the people here. The University brings in people of great cultural diversity and the high quality of living keeps a lot of these exciting people here. This is a fun place to live and we love to share it with new people!

 Now, on to home buying...

 Here is the bottom line..

If you want the best service in most professions you go to a specialist. A doctor, an engineer, even a car mechanic. They all specialize so they can give the best service to the people that they help. The same holds true in real estate.

The role of listing and selling real estate agent takes sales skill and marketing knowledge.

The role of buyer agent, in contrast, takes people skills, property information, and mortgage knowledge.

Because we specialize we can do a better job of helping you achieve your home buying goals!
